Client Agreement

Services Provided

Meo’s World Dog Walks provides one-to-one structured dog walking services designed to reinforce calm behaviour and safe handling.

The dog handler holds a current DBS and is Dog First Aid trained.

Dogs will be walked individually unless otherwise agreed.

Owner Responsibilities

Owners must:

• Provide a safe, well fitting collar or harness and lead

• Inform Meo’s Structured Walks of any behaviour issues

• Inform of any illness or injury before walks

• Ensure dogs are up to date with core vaccinations and parasite treatments (fleas, ticks and worms)

Owners confirm the dog has not shown aggressive behaviour without disclosure.

Transport

The owner gives permission for their dog to be transported in a vehicle when necessary for the purpose of providing walking services.

Dogs may be transported to suitable walking locations where it is considered safer or more appropriate for exercise.

All dogs will be transported safely using appropriate restraints, harnesses, crates, or vehicle safety equipment.

Veterinary Emergency

The owner authorises Meo’s World Dog Walks to seek veterinary treatment for their dog if it becomes ill or injured while in my care and immediate medical attention is considered necessary.

Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the owner first. However, if the owner cannot be reached, the dog may be taken to the registered veterinary practice or the nearest available veterinary surgery.

The owner agrees to be fully responsible for any veterinary fees, treatment costs, and related expenses incurred.

The owner also authorises Meo’s World Dog Walks to transport their dog to a veterinary practice if emergency treatment is required.

Insurance

Meo’s World Dog Walks holds public liability and animal care, custody and control insurance.

Owners remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour and for any risks resulting from behaviour or health conditions that have not been disclosed.

Risk Acknowledgement

While every care is taken to ensure the safety of dogs in my care, dog walking carries natural risks including injury, illness, escape, or unforeseen incidents.

By signing this agreement, the owner acknowledges these risks and confirms that their dog is suitable to be walked in public areas.

Meo’s World Dog Walks cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting from undisclosed behaviour issues or health conditions.

Weather and Safety Policy

The safety and wellbeing of all dogs in my care is the highest priority.

Walks may be shortened, rescheduled, or adapted during extreme weather conditions including:

• Excessive heat

• Ice or unsafe walking conditions

• Severe weather warnings

If conditions are unsafe for dogs or the walker, alternative arrangements may be made.

Cancellation Policy

At least 24 hours notice must be given for cancellations.

Late cancellations may still be charged.

Payment Terms

Walks start from £16 per hour.

30 minute sessions are available on request

Payment must be made:

Same day ☐ Weekly ☐ Bi-Weekly ☐ Monthly ☐

By bank transfer or cash

Late payments may result in suspension of services.

Data Protection

Meo’s World Dog Walks collects and stores personal information such as names, addresses, contact details and veterinary information solely for the purpose of providing dog walking services.

All information will be stored securely and will never be shared with third parties unless necessary for the safety or welfare of the dog (for example veterinary treatment).

Client information will not be sold or used for marketing without permission.

Records may be retained for business and insurance purposes.

Photography Permission

Occasionally photographs may be taken during walks to provide updates to owners or to share examples of the service.

Please indicate your preference:

☐ I give permission for photographs of my dog to be used on the Meo’s World website or social media.

☐ I do not give permission for photographs of my dog to be used publicly.

No owner personal details will ever be shared with images.

Key Holding & Access

If house keys are provided, they will be kept securely and will never be labelled with the owner's name or address.

Where a key safe is used, the access code will be stored securely and will never be shared with any third party.

Keys and access codes will only be used for the purpose of collecting and returning the dog for scheduled walks.
